Poor batting gets Essendon stuck in a well

Sat 24th May 2008 League
Essendon v Woodford Wells IV

After a good start Essendon had Woodford Wells 10-3 and it looked good for the home side, but a fourth wicket stand of 80 soon put the away team right and they went on to make 219 all out. Once again Essendon's batting was not good, a fine knock of 55 by captain Ian Venables and some big hitting by Rory Hulley(25) providing the only resistance as the home side finished on 176-9.

Essendon go down to Harlow
